# Delete your data

> Removing your data from Soda.

Your memory belongs to you. If you ever want Soda to forget everything, we'll delete it all for you.

## Delete everything

Email [support@getsoda.app](mailto:support@getsoda.app) from the email address on your account, and ask us to delete your account. We delete your data and close your account within 30 days. Our backups expire 7 days after that.

<Danger>
  Once your data is deleted, it can't be restored.
</Danger>

## What gets deleted

We delete every memory: each call, email conversation, and note, along with its write-up. Every contact and company profile goes too, with every detail Soda learned about them.

Soda never keeps the audio from your calls. It's transcribed on your Mac, then discarded, so there's no audio to delete. See [what Soda captures, and what it never does](/docs/privacy/what-soda-captures).

## Remove one conversation or one person

You don't have to delete everything to change what Soda remembers.

If one conversation shouldn't be in your memory, delete that memory. The call or email is removed from your memory, and the details it added to profiles are kept. See [Your memories](/docs/memory/your-memories).

If you'd rather Soda stopped learning about someone, like your accountant or a friend you email from work, add them to your exclusion list. See [Exclude people and domains](/docs/memory/exclude-people-and-domains).
