# I can't sign in

If Soda says **Soda is for teams**, you signed in with a personal account. Sign in again with your work Google or Microsoft account.

Otherwise, find what you're seeing below.

## The wrong account signed in

Your browser uses whichever Google or Microsoft account is already active. Switch to your work account in your browser, then sign in again.

If Soda has already signed you in, log out first. Click your name at the bottom of the Soda sidebar and choose **Log out**.

## Your company needs to approve Soda

Google or Microsoft shows a screen asking for your company's approval. See [If your company needs to approve Soda](/docs/getting-started/install-and-sign-in#if-your-company-needs-to-approve-soda).

## That took too long

Soda shows "That took too long. Please try again." Sign-in has to be finished in your browser within 5 minutes. Try again, and check whether your browser opened behind other windows.

## Invalid login credentials

Soda shows "Invalid login credentials". The email address or password is wrong. Check both and try again. To reset your password, click **Trouble signing in?**, then **Forgotten password**. See [Forgotten your password](/docs/account/password#forgotten-your-password).

## Too many attempts

Soda shows "Too many attempts. Please wait a few minutes before trying again." Five wrong passwords in a row lock sign-in for a few minutes. We also email you, with the subject "Failed sign-in attempts on Soda", so you know if it wasn't you.

Wait a few minutes, or reset your password.

## Confirm your email

If Soda shows **confirm your email**, open the email called **Verify your email** and click **Confirm**. If it hasn't arrived, click **Resend email** in Soda.
